About Dr. Steinfeld

Dr. Beth Steinfeld has been a board certified Women’s health Nurse Practitioner since 1990. She started her nursing career by obtaining her BSN at the University of Rhode Island. She later decided to advance her nursing career as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and attended a NY state sponsored certificate program, which she graduated from in 1990. She completed her master’s degree in 1998 at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. She then went on to earn her doctorate (DNP) at Wilkes University and was graduated with high honors in 2014.

Dr. Steinfeld has practiced throughout numerous areas of women’s health in Brooklyn Queens and Manhattan and she currently practices. She cares for women throughout the lifespan, with an emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention and complementary and alternative medicine. She takes great pride in the quality of care she provides. She speaks Hebrew, Yiddish and Spanish.

Dr. Steinfeld is currently an assistant professor and the program director of the WHNP program at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY. She is a fellow of the NY Academy of Medicine. Her passion for women’s health has led her to become involved in NPWH (National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health). She currently sits on the Education, Research and Policy committees of NPWH and is also a proud board member as well.

Dr. Steinfeld is very passionate about her academic and clinical career and takes great pride in the accomplishments thereof. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
