Gynecology
We offer a complete scope of primary and preventive gynecology services. Besides regular well women visits and advise regarding birth
control, we also offer the following services:
• Urodynamics: Seventy percent of women suffering problems with urine leakage or incontinence wait up to five years before telling
their doctor, but doing so can lead to long-term damage that sometimes requires surgery to correct it. If you are experiencing any
symptoms of incontinence, please speak up and ask your doctor about urodynamics testing. Urodynamics testing is done in the
office and can help your doctor identify your problem and direct treatment.
• Bone Density Screening: Our low-dose Bone Dexa Scan is an advanced bone density test that can determine if you have
osteoporosis or are at risk of developing the disease in the future. We suggest all patients over the age of 50 test their bone density.
Ask for more information while scheduling your appointment or at your visit.
• Pre-Marriage or Kallah Counseling: Getting married? Congratualations! Whether you need some words of advice, would like to
regulate your menstrual cycle or start discussing pregnancy, our doctors and midwives are here to help.
• Menopause Consult: Menopause is a natural part of aging and marks the transition between a woman’s childbearing years and
her non-childbearing years. During a period known as perimenopause,” estrogen production declines and women often develop
irregular periods, hot flashes, mood swings and fatigue. Consult our doctors on how to best ease this transition.

Obstetrics
Caring for moms-to-be is our specialty, and we pride ourselves on providing our obstetrics patients with the highest quality care available.
• Having a problem conceiving? Talk to us. We can provide counseling, screening, and options to address infertility.
• Expecting multiples? Diabetic? Our doctors are trained to handle complicated pregnancies and will monitor every pregnancy
closely, especially those with complications.
• We offer an array of services to our obstetric patients, including ultrasound, amniocentesis, nuchal translucency, and genetic
testing.
• We have a doctor and midwife available at Maimonides Medical Center 24/7. Whenever needed, a provider will be waiting at the hospital for you.

• Umbilical Cord Blood Donation: Please inquire about our Gift of Life cord blood collection program. Save your baby's umbilical cord blood for free, and you may help save someone's life! We have Gift of lLife coordinators on site to discuss this amazing option

We have full-time sonographers available in every location, ready to perform any obstetrical or gynecological ultrasound you require. Our
facility is accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine for excellence in performing sonograms.

Laboratory
Boro Park OB/GYN saves you time with the convenience of our on-site laboratory services. Staffed by our own pathologists, our lab
performs blood tests, pap smears, and other testing with fast results for faster treatment.
We also offer screening for BRCA, nuchal translucency, and genetic testing.

Midwifery
Nurse-Midwives are advanced registered nurses who graduate from a post-graduate degree program in midwifery. After graduation,
they are certified and licensed after rigorous training and passing a board certification exam. Our midwives are eminently qualified and
committed to providing you with comprehensive, personalized care.
Our midwives provide both gynecological and obstetrical care. They provide pre-conception counseling, family planning services, annual
pap tests and breast examinations, as well as screening and treatment for infections. CNMs prescribe medications including methods of
contraception and treatment of common infections. They also provide information about proper nutrition, personal hygiene, maintaining
good habits for a healthy lifestyle, and self-care practices that aid in disease prevention.

Office-Based Surgery
Our Boro Park facility is accredited by the American Association for Ambulatory Surgical Facilities to perform minor procedures requiring
anesthesia in the office. Many patients find they prefer the office environment to a busy hospital. Please speak to your doctor.
