Dr. Igal Reizis

Igal Reizis, M.D. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After received his medical degree from Sackler Medical School in Tel Aviv, Israel, he completed a surgical internship at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey. While completing residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, he was awarded Attending of the Year.

Dr. Reizis has been in private practice since 1982 and is currently a Fellow in the American College of OB/GYN.

Dr. Reizis, who has devoted 25 years to obstetrics and gynecology, recently announced that he is focusing solely on gynecology in order to spend more time with his GYN patients. He has expanded his office hours to three days a week.

Dr. Reizis is fluent in Russian, Hebrew and Yiddish and enjoys tennis and traveling.

Dr. Jack Troper

Jack Troper, founded Boro Park Obstetrics and Gynecology, PC, in 1986, together with Dr. Reizis. His tireless commitment to serve the women in the community has resulted in what has become the largest obstetrical and gynecological practice in the New York City area. He received his medical degree from Univeridad Autonoma de Guadalajara Medical School. After finishing an internship at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Troper completed his OB/GYN residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During his Senior year, he was elected Chief Resident.

Dr. Troper is currently the Director of the Laboratory at Boro Park OB/GYN. He is also an Assistant Professor in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He works closely teaching the Residents and medical students to ensure that the highest obstetrical and gynecological standards prevail. He is a Fellow in the American College of International Physicians, and the American College of Laparoscopists.

He has been recognized by multiple organizations, including Physician of the Year by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maimonides, and is the recipient of the much coveted Community Service Award by the Sephardic Friends of Maimonides Medical Center.

As the father of 4 children, including a set of triplets, Dr. Troper is at the cutting edge of delivering state of the art healthcare to mothers of multiples. He is integrally involved with the mothers of multiples division of the organization N’Shei CARES, a division of Agudah Women of America.

Dr. Troper is fluent in Yiddish and Spanish and enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Moshe Schwartz

Moshe Schwartz, M.D. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Receiving his medical degree from Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel, Dr. Schwartz served as a flight surgeon in the Israeli Defense Force. After finishing his residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, he also completed a fellowship at Columbia University in Reproductive Endocrinology.

Dr. Schwartz is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an active society member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Fertility Society and the New York Obstetrical Society.

Dr. Schwartz has held various positions at Maimonides Medical Center: Associate Chairman of the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Director of Labor and Delivery, Director of Resident Education and Director of Reproductive Endocrinology.

He is fluent in Hebrew and enjoys reading and art. One of his sons, Dr. Nadav Schwartz, is also an OB/GYN.

Dr. Arie Schwartz

Arie Schwartz, M.D. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has received his medical degree from Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva, Israel after obtaining a degree in electrical engineering from the same university and completing service in the Israeli Defense Force. His residency in OB/GYN was completed at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Schwartz is the Director of Ultrasound at Boro Park OB/GYN and the Director of Medical Education at Maimonides Medical Center.

He is fluent in Hebrew and enjoys biking, swimming, collecting wine bottle openers, and working with his older brother, Dr. Moshe Schwartz.

Dr. Matthew Silverman

Matthew Silverman, M.D. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After received his medical degree from the New York Medical College, Dr. Silverman completed his surgical residency in North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. He is trained in General and Orthopedic surgery, as well as OB/GYN.

A Fellow in the American College of OB/GYN and a Fellow of American College of Laparoscopic Surgery, he is also an Assistant Professor in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center and Mount Sinai.

Dr. Silverman enjoys river rafting, downhill skiing and bike riding. His father, Dr. Sidney Silverman, was also an OB/GYN.

Dr. Gregory Kliot

Dr. Gregory Kliot is a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist with over 18 years of experience. He graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC, and is a Fellow of both the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.G.) and the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He is well qualified to treat both high and low risk obstetric patients, as well as providing gynecological care and gynecologic surgery needs.

His commitment to the field has been exemplified by his dedication to Resident Education and the training of future physicians. Over the years, he has been recognized in many ways, including as Clinical Asst. Professor at S.U.N.Y.-Downstate Medical Center, awarded "Attending of the Year" & "Best Teacher" locally, and honored with the "National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education" from the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Kliot is recognized in his profession as Vice Chairman of the Brooklyn & Staten Island Section of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and as a member of the Executive Council of the Brooklyn Gynecological Society. He also tirelessly works to make the hospitals to which he admits patients the best in New York by serving on Hospital Committees.

Established over 30 years ago by his father, Dr. David Kliot, the Kliot practice has always been at the forefront of advancing women's rights in the labor room, pioneering the use of techniques such as Gentle Birth, Leboyer, VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) and allowing the expectant father into the delivery room. As one of the first physician practices in New York to work hand in hand with midwives, the Kliot practice has always strived to make a woman's labor & delivery experience a positive and joyous one.

Dr. Elaine Sklar

Elaine Sklar, D.O. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. While completing residency in OB/GYN at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, she was appointed Chief Resident.

Dr. Sklar's professional affiliations include the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association and the Junior Fellow of the American Board of OB/GYN.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and three adorable sons.

Dr. Katarzyna Perlman

Katarzyna Perlman, M.D. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her medical degree from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. Her residency in OB/GYN was completed at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Perlman is currently the Director of Urodynamics at Boro Park OB/GYN. She has received the Laparoscopy and Endoscopy Award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Finalist Award in Oral Presentation from the Brooklyn Gynecological Society.

Dr. Perlman is fluent in Polish, Swedish, and Russian and enjoys the theater and traveling

Dr. Shira Alter

Shira Alter, M.D. is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Ramat Gan, Israel. Her residency in OB/GYN was completed at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She was a faculty physician at Sheba Medical Center and regional health specialist at Maccabi Health Center in Israel.

Dr. Alter is currently the Director of Clinical Trials at Boro Park OB/GYN. Specializing in high risk pregnancy; she specifically treats the pregnant patients diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

In addition to her extensive medical background, Dr. Alter has a Masters of Science degree in Psychological Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Alter is fluent in Hebrew and enjoys visiting family.
